Salpa Special Food is a leading Italian confectionery company, specialized in the production of ice cream cookies for more than 80 years. The company has then expanded its activities to the production of breadcrumbs, gluten free products, chocolate shells for the ice cream and yogurt industry and micronized thermo treated flours for food and cosmetic use.
In 2007, Cherubini industries opened to the gluten free market and began to produce gluten-free cookies for breakfast with a private label. In 2014, the company decided to launch its own gluten free brands, Kèlinea and Naturaline, with the intention to offer customers with gluten disease a product combining health, safety and taste.
The production facilities occupy a covered area of over 24,000 square meters out of a total area of 72,000 square meters and are equipped with high technology plants and security and control systems that track the various stages of the production chain. The corporate policy that has been in place within Salpa for years is focused above all on a continuous search for new products. The innovative plants coupled with the entire automation of the lines ensure the maximum hygiene of the product, which is subject to continuous controls during the production process.

2017

Opening of the new manufacturing site and new offices in Montone (PG), in order to accomodate the market growth of South- East and African countries. In the same year Francesco Cherubini joins the company
June 7

2013/2014

The company launches a new manufacturing line to absorb the whole Gluten Free production and launches its two gluten free brands: Kelinea, devoted to the pharmaceutical market and Naturaline, dedicated to the retail market.

2010

The whole bread crumbs production is renewed through the opening of a new production site and aother one fully dedicated to Gluten Free Products.

2006

During this year Cherubini industries inaugurate their new Headquarter, thus starting the production of ice cream cookies. In the same year the company starts to produce Gluten free products.

2004

The fourth generation of Cherubini family, Marco and Chiara, join the company

90’s

The company opend a second manufacturing site, specialized in the production of ice cream cookies and bread crumbles. Around the mid of the ‘90s, accomodating a new trend on the nutritional and taste side, Cherubini’s industry specializes in extruted products: a blend of high-glutinous, finely chopped cereal mixers covered with the finest chocolate. A highly pleasing product which perfectly complements with the other ones dedicated to a constantly expanding market.
